Hey Beautiful Lady,
Today I’m talking about God’s second holiday: Yom Kippur (also known as the Day of Atonement).
This is a holiday of humility and surrender to God through repentance of your sins. God’s first holiday (Rosh Hashanah) got you to turn your heart back to Him, so that you would be ready for today: the Day of Atonement.
This is the day you admit your sins to God, because they’re the reason you’re separated from Him.
All of that pain you’re carrying has built walls around your heart to protect yourself. But it’s also kept God out of your heart. Today is the day to let God in through honoring you’re sins, asking for forgiveness, and letting Him tear those walls down and enter in deeper. When He does, He will not only forgive you of your sins, but redeem that beautiful heart of yours and heal it.
Jesus is the best way to heal your trauma. And you do that by starting with repentance. On this day of Atonement, let Jesus be your sacrificial lamb of atonement for your sins. Turn to God in humble repentance, and let Him in to heal your broken heart.
I hope you’ll join me in learning about this beautiful holiday that humbles your heart before God, and lets Jesus be your sacrifice to wipe it all clean.
